Discover extended its popular Cashback Match offer to graduating student cardmembers to encourage spending and reduce attrition. I created a year-long email campaign that introduced the program and kept cardmembers engaged with ongoing opportunities to maximize their rewards.
Secured Cardmember Journey
Discover’s secured card helps people establish or rebuild credit through responsible use. After six months, eligible cardmembers are reviewed for conversion to a standard credit line. To guide them through this process—and reduce call volume about security deposit returns—I partnered with the product team to design and write a new email journey that kept cardmembers informed and motivated. I led a client workshop to align and define the experience, developed the content strategy for communications, and wrote and creative directed the email designs. The campaign proved highly effective, increasing engagement by 5%.
Identity Theft Protection Emails
I led and wrote a series of email optimizations and A/B tests to improve acquisition performance. These ranged from smaller enhancements—like testing new images, stats, subject lines, and CTAs—to more significant design and content overhauls that reimagined the message and layout. Each test provided valuable insights that helped us continually refine the email experience to drive stronger conversion and retention.
