Acima

Acima is a lease-to-own platform that was acquired by Rent-A-Center. We worked closely with their internal product team to design and enhance the company’s entire digital ecosystem, including its website, mobile app (over 1M downloads as of 2023), and browser extension–which power the in-store and online shopping experience. I was the Creative Director and principle Content Designer on all projects. We also created monthly campaigns and led design and messaging for their marketing team on promotional and service emails, direct mail, as well as naming and designing their newly branded Mastercard product called LeasePay.

We worked directly with the Anima product team to design an initial 1.0 release of the app, which was an MVP for previously approved lessees. Additional features were put into the product development backlog and added in subsequent releases, such as applying in app, shopping at online stores, and changing an already approved store.
